Missing in Action

Filed under: Adult Vacation Resort — Paul @ 2:04 pm

I never realized it was so long ago that I kept the blog updated. Sorry to everyone who misses my daily hack. I have had to cover Richie for the last 2 weeks, he’s been on vacation to the UK so time has been limited. What with the resort full, looking after the office and also a few personal issues that have arisen. My Father in Law was taken ill a week back and had to spend 3 nights in hospital, which was concerning for all of us here. Fortunately he’s now back home and hopefully firing on all 4 pistons. This week is also a busy time for us as we get ready for the Halloween party, which is one of our annual highlights and will produce some great pics, so watch out on here and the forum for updates and news from the party. Last but not least a very dear friend of mine and a great supporter of the resort passed away last week. Without people like him this business wouldn’t be worth running, to a man who I shared many happy memories with and who this World owes nothing to, Jake, rest in peace my friend, and save a few

chicas for us when we get there.

The Resort, what is it really like? One man’s perspective.

I like nothing more than a good honest testimonial from our fellow guests. This is a recent one that I thought was great. It also saves me typing away for long as the copy and paste is king today.

The Resort, what is it really like? One man’s perspective.

Like most of you who are reading this, I was quite skeptical before my visit to Margarita. It was only after spending a lot of time on the forum, reading the various testimonials that I finally decided to take the plunge and head off for the Hibiscus resort. In this testimonial I will attempt to give you my perspective on the experience. I have organized the testimonial in the following order. 1. The basics. 2. The experience. 3. The people. 4. The acknowledgements.

The basics

The travel experience to the Island was a non event for me. There are a lot of testimonials elsewhere on this forum that explain every detail of the travel experience. I would just say that Paul’s representatives met me inbound and outbound as promised. They walked me through all of the various tasks associated with travel within this Country. They helped me with money exchange at a fair rate. They were both punctual and courteous. My only advise is to pay close attention to the status of your flight as they tend to make changes without notification. ( Departure times, gate assignments, etc.)

The experience

My time at the resort was outstanding. The staff is professional, the grounds are kept very nicely, the food was excellent and of course the chicas are out of this world. Upon my arrival I was met by the general manager, Cathy and the supervisor of the chicas, Natelie. They gave me a brief overview of the grounds, offered me a refreshing adult beverage and just chatted with me while I unwound from the long day of travel. At this point I was also meeting some of the male guests who immediately began to provide me valuable feedback about their personal experiences with the various chicas. After going to my room and cleaning up I had my casting call. It was not as intimidating as I had anticipated. Just a quick opportunity to interact with the chicas, then it was time to make my first choice. Tip #1. Pay attention to the input you receive from the other guys there. I did what many guys do the first day and made my initial selection of a female companion based solely on my chica #1 stunning good looks. ( The other guys tried to warn me that this particular chica was not really into her work but I failed to heed their advice.) this decision basically caused me to waste day number one on a woman that I later determined just was not going to click with me. Day number one was initially disappointing to me and made me question my decision to come to Hibiscus in the first place. The language barrier was initially difficult but my Spanish from many years ago in school began to slowly return and coupled with the translator on the resort computer got me past my initial reservations. Tip#2 If you are inclined to brush up on your Spanish before you go it will pay dividends once you arrive. By the end of the evening of day 1 I had determined that my chica and I were not going to click. I had also had a chance to observe the other chicas and had an idea of which ones seemed more likely to fit with my personality. At breakfast on day 2, I spoke with Cathy and told her about my feelings Cathy gave me good counsel about my other potential choices, handled the business of notifying my chica #1 that I would be switching and arranged for casting call number 2 for me. Tip #3 If you have any issues, be smart and let Cathy know. She bent over backwards to help make my trip a success. If you don’t speak up, they can’t fix the problem. Don’t be bashful!

What a difference a day makes. Chica #2 was beautiful, full of energy and actually enjoyed spending time with me. We went to the beach, took the Jeep trip, jet skied and generally had a great time together. When it came time for my 2 for 1 I relied upon input from both Cathy and my chica to make my selection for the other girl. It payed dividends as it is very important that the second chica and your primary chica have good chemistry if the twofer is to be a positive experience. All I can say is “mission accomplished” the girls got along great and the good chemistry transferred to the experience.

When I was getting ready to make the trip I had spent a lot of time reading the various postings and frankly I had come to the conclusion that a bunch of the guys that preceded me at the resort were much more sentimental and emotionally invested in the chicas than I would ever be. After all, I was traveling to the resort for a brief fantasy that involved lots of sex and little emotional investment. Boy was I surprised when it came time for me to say farewell to all of the chicas and staff at the resort. The emotional ice man ( that would be me) was actually choked up. It was especially difficult to say farewell to my chica. She is a true lady with a warm heart and my time with her and the other chicas will be something I will remember fondly for a long time.Tip#4 If you can, put your doubts aside, jump in and make the trip. You will not regret it. I forward to returning to Hibiscus at my first appropriate opportunity. It was a great vacation and a good value. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend the experience to anyone.

The People

I can not say enough complimentary things about Paul, Cathy and the entire staff. The resort is not without it’s imperfections and like any other business there are areas that could use some improvement. ( my complaints are minor, things like posting of the days activities and perhaps posting the menu each morning for the days meals) I truly believe that Paul is intent on running the best business he can. He seems to clearly understand that unless his clients have a positive experience his business will not thrive. He has worked hard to put reliable, conscientious people in place and he holds all of his employees to a very high standard of conduct. I did not get to spend as much time with Paul as I would have liked ( he was traveling to Panama as well as battling a case of the flu the week I was there.) but I quickly got the sense that Paul is a straight up guy who is direct, honest and reliable. In the future I would have no problem paying him the entire fee up front knowing he could be counted on to deliver the best possible experience. Cathy is bright, and very much interested in helping you to have the best possible vacation while at the resort. She is a resource each guest should not hesitate to utilize while there. In addition I now consider her a good friend. The rest of the staff I did not get to know on a personal basis but everyone from the chef, to the groundskeepers to the maids were very courteous and attentive. High marks for the entire group.

The acknowledgements

Paul made the observation that at least 60% of the Hibiscus experience is the interaction between the guests. While I was there that was certainly the case. All of the guys I came in contact with were great. Lots of good times and camaraderie. A special thank you goes to several of the guys who made my trip all the better. First off , thanks goes to John aka Chithief for his sage counsel and friendship. Ditto to John aka snappy dresser. Your quick wit as well as being the designated Hibiscus clothes horse was greatly appreciated. Thanks too to Hector aka linebacker for helping me with my fledgling Espaniol. And of course no thank you would be complete without acknowledging Dave aka the resident. I hope I have a chance to run across all of these great guys in my future travels.

Impossible to Blog When Celebrating.

Filed under: Adult Vacation Resort — Paul @ 8:14 pm

I can’t keep up with the Rugby at the moment, it’s left me speechless. As predicted in an earlier blog, England have fucked the Frogs and will now go on and lose in the World Cup Final to South Africa. It will be a close game and you never know maybe we can actually beat the mighty Springboks and become the first team to defend a Rugby World Cup. Reigning champions England are expected to adopt the forwards-orientated game that has been key to their shock progress to the showpiece in Paris. We were murdered by the Boks in the group stages but maybe a surprise is coming this weekend. My heart tells me England, my money says the Spring Boks. Lets not worry about the final yet though, lets relish the moment of shoving it up the Frogs at there own stadium. I thought that we may help Perry and our other cross Atlantic cousins by explaining a little about the game, that way they can tune in on Saturday and watch a mans game, none of that padded, helmeted shite that they rave about on the adult vacation forum week in and week out.

The History
Rugby like most good things in this World was invented in England (in Rugby would you believe?) by William Webb Ellis nearly 200 years ago – seeing an opportunity to improve on the boring game of ’soccer’ he was involved in, he picked up the ball and ran with it. And therein lies the essence of the game.

The Game
Fifteen players (8 forwards and 7 backs) on each side attempt to touch the oval-shaped ball down over the other team’s try line (a try) to score 5 points, after which they will try to kick it over the posts to convert it into 7 points. Dropped goals – everyone knows what they are thanks to Jonny – and penalty kicks are worth 3 points.
Forwards tend to be bigger and slower, whilst backs are usually smaller and faster. Obviously there are some exceptions to this – Jonah Lomu was a back and was massive and fast, Andy Farrell is a back and is exceptionally slow.
Players run carrying the ball and can only pass sideways or backwards to one another, or they can kick it wherever they like. Scrums and lineouts are ways of restarting the game, whilst rucks and mauls happen when a player is tackled and everyone else fights to get the ball back.

The strategy
Most teams will try to get their forwards running at the opposition defenders a couple of times, knocking them over and creating space elsewhere for the backs to run into and score a try.
England is slightly different in this respect as the forwards will just try to get close enough to the posts for Jonny to get a dropped goal, but who cares because at the end of the game, the team with the most points wins!

Jonny
England’s Flyhalf and probably there only chance of winning is if he turns in a match winning performance.

A nice Glass of Wine.

After more than a year of turmoil, Leeds United were live in a televised game last night.
OK, it was only the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, a bit of a mickey mouse thing and the butt of all professional football jokes since it’s inception in 1983, but they faced Darlington last night on the road back to Wembley. A superb 1-0 victory puts us on route to Wembley Stadium. Which for all Reading supporters is in London. Not far from you lot, but you don’t need to worry because there’s no chance that you will be going there.

Whilst we are on the subject of Sport, where’s John Boy and the other whinging Aussies from the adult forum???? I found a new brand of wine to share with them to celebrate the Leeds win. Oh and of course the rugby win on Saturday..Rugby World Cup

October could be a vintage month.

Filed under: Pauls Views — Paul @ 10:48 am

I will have to finish my holiday runaround later, last weeks trip to the States has put me behind schedule again. There doesn’t seem to be enough days in the week at the moment. The Adult Vacation Resort is full to the brim, just about fully booked through to the beginning of December now. My Miami trip was overshadowed at the weekend by the sports results from Europe. Leeds United of course struck gold again and remain undefeated so far this season. A last minute goal against the mighty Yeovil ensured 3 points and we carry on marching up the table. The return game will be interesting too as it’s a 280 mile trip to Yeovil, where I here the cider is pretty good.

Rugby World Cup weekend was a belter, the Brits stuck it up those sheep shagging convicts from Australia with a scoreline of 12-10 and sent the fuckers home with tears in there eyes. Fucking great. Australia captain Stirling Mortlock is taking the blame for their quarter-final defeat by England. “I think I missed three kicks and in the end that was the difference,” Mortlock said. “It’s extremely difficult on kickers. If I had (kicked the goals) we wouldn’t be sitting here and we wouldn’t be going home tomorrow.” and here’s the best bit, Mortlock, talking about his final kick which could have won Australia the match, said: “I thought it was over. The wind was a bit skewiff. When I went to address the ball it was going left to right. I hit it exactly where I wanted to. Wrong you dopy twat, you hit it exactly where myself and another 50 million Poms wanted you to hit it, wide of the fucking post. You need to go to Spec-savers mate, off you go my friend, Qantas flight 234 to Botany Bay awaits you. That should teach all you loud mouth Wombat eating fuckers for being so big headed. While we are at it, what about the All Blacks, they also got their ass kicked by the fucking Froggies. So the favourites are also out of the competition. A major tactical change and several well-timed substitutions sparked France’s win. The French booked a semi-final with England after defeating the All Blacks 20-18 in Cardiff on Saturday. They appeared to be out of the match, trailing 13-3 at half time, but coach Bernard Laporte rang the changes to wrest the game back. France captain Raphaël Ibanez said it meant a lot to his players to beat the All Blacks. “It is a great victory for all the players who gave everything on the field right until the end. We keep a lot of respect for this New Zealand team, they remain exceptional players. Now as delighted as I am with this result, I mean hats off to the Frogs for this result, what made me piss my pants was when the Froggie Captain Ibanez finished his statement with the following quote. “In such a great competition as the world cup, courage and spirit make the difference and that’s what happened today,” he said. Fucking courage and spirit?? from the Frogs??? Yeah right, they’d all be speaking fucking German if it wasn’t for the Brits. Courage and Spirit my fucking arse. Then of course we had Argentina thumping the Scottish, by 19-13, fucking brilliant. As much as we don’t like the Argies, we still remember the Falklands and that cheating fat bastard Maradona at the Soccer World Cup, but the Scots?? Fuck them and their fried fucking Mars Bars. Getting beat by a South American team, a continent that doesn’t play rugby, you should be ashamed of yourselves. To say I am pleased is an understatement. Flower of Scotland, yeah that’s about it, fucking daisy’s not Thistles. Finally my favourite team, the mighty Springboks, they outplayed Fiji 37-20 and will now go on and lift the Webb Ellis trophy for a second time.
Yes it’s been a great week for me.
